Here's a Day by Day overview of our Full Adventure Itinerary to 🇰🇪 Kenya & Tanzania 🇹🇿 for Africa's Wildebeest Migration, The World's Greatest Show.
As two of East Asia's most spectacular Safari destinations, this Adventure will take you through the breathtaking landscapes of Kenya & Tanzania. 🏔️ 🐘
Amboseli National Park 🐘 There is nothing quite like a Safari with the majestic backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro! 🏔️The grand finale of our trip.
Day 1: fly sin > nairobi NBO

Take a half day trip to Nairobi City or enjoy Crowne Nairobi's beautiful rooftop pool. ☀️
Day 2: Maasai Mara
🌅 Today we begin our journey to the world renown 🦁 Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's most famous Wildlife Sanctuary. 🇰🇪
It is home to the Mara River 🐊 the heart of the Great Migration, and has one of the world's highest densities of Big Cats, including Cheetahs & Leopards. 🐆
We'll arrive at our lodge for lunch and check in.
☀️ By late afternoon, we'll embark on our 1st Safari Game Drive in Maasai Mara!

After all these are all wild animals and no one can control their movements or if they're going to hunt or not. ✨ 📸 Some days you can have some incredible sightings!! 💯 Some days you may not. 🙈
So honestly we would say: Expect nothing and you'll enjoy everything! 😌 🙌🏻
That's also what makes good sightings all the more exciting, precious and memorable! ✨ 🫶🏻
Some common herbivores you shouldn't have any problem seeing: 🦓 Zebras, Gazelles, Wildebeest, Impalas, Giraffes. 🦒
Day 3: full day maasai mara
☀️ After an early breakfast at the lodge, we'll set out for a full day of Game Drive to explore the Maasai Mara Reserve. 🌅
The Mara is famous for its high density of Lions, commonly found in the open savannah, resting under trees or stalking their prey. 🦁

Home to approximately 200 - 300 lions, the Mara has 3 main lion prides: the Mara North Pride, the Paradise Pride and the Olololo Pride, with around 10 to as many as 20 lions in each pride. 🦁
Today we'll also make our way to the Mara River 🐊 the key crossing point for The Great Migration of Wildebeests.
✨ Part of ensuring our best chances to witness The Great Migration is to travel during the ideal season of mid July to September. 🗓️
That also means realistically expecting the company of multiple dozens of safari jeeps and fellow wildlife enthusiasts. 🙈
As we'll be visiting during the peak Great Migration season in August.

Will we be able to see a River Crossing?
So many factors go into it. From the river's water level, to the presence of 🐊 Crocodiles and Lions 🦁, down to the wildebeests' mood.
There's really no guarantee of seeing a River Crossing.

We'll be able to find out more in real time from our local Wildlife Safari Guides about how the latest viewing of crossings has been in the last few days.
📸 After that, all we can do is to try to get the best spot possible and then really just be prepared to wait for several hours and keep your fingers crossed! 🤞🏻
After a picnic lunch in the bush, we'll continue our afternoon Game Drive.

The Mara is also one of the best places to see Cheetahs, especially in Open Plains where they are often hunting gazelles. 🐆
The Cheetah population in the Mara is estimated at around 60 - 100 Cheetahs.
Day 4: serengeti
Today we journey south from Mara to Serengeti, crossing from 🇰🇪 Kenya into Tanzania 🇹🇿 via the Isebania Border.

The Serengeti is nearly 10 times larger than the Mara at 14,750 km square, versus the Mara's 1,510 km square. 😲
🌾 The Mara is a mix of open Savannahs, Woodlands & Riverine Forests.
The Serengeti has a more varied landscape ranging from the Grasslands of the Serengeti Plains to River Valleys, Woodlands and Rock Outcrops (also known as Kopjes), well loved by the Serengeti's lions! 🦁 🪨

The Serengeti is home to one of the world's largest populations of Lions, estimated at 2,000 to 3,000 lions. 🦁
As the Great Migration moves north from Serengeti to the Mara ⬆️, we'll essentially be driving against the flow of Wildebeest as we are travelling in the opposite direction from Mara down to Serengeti. ⬇️
If the end of the herd is still traversing across the Serengeti toward the Mara, the drive south itself presents us with a good Game Drive chance of witnessing some predator-prey action and hunting, as predators tend to focus on straddlers and weaker individuals. 🦁
They may be lagging behind at the back of the herd due to age, illness, injury or exhaustion, making them prime targets for predators.
By evening we'll arrive at our lovely Serengeti camp where we'll be spending 2 nights!! 🏕️
Day 5: serengeti
At the break of dawn, we'll head out for an early morning 🌅 Sunrise Game Drive, one of the best times to spot Predators in action!
Another Wishlist Sighting: the Elusive Leopard! 🐆
The Mara's Leopard population is estimated at around 100 - 150 leopards. The Serengeti's is at around 500 to 700.
The density of Leopards is higher in the Mara whilst the population is larger in Serengti but over a much larger area.
After a full day of Game Drive in Serengeti National Park, we'll spend a 2nd night at our Serengeti camp before moving off the next day to our next destination!
Day 6: ngorongoro crater
Today we continue our journey South East to Ngorongoro Crater, often called "Africa's Garden of Eden" due to its rich biodiversity. 🪷

Ngorongoro Crater is a collapsed volcano crater, formed over 2-3 million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption. 🌋
This formed a natural basin, resulting in the creation of a unique, self-contained ecosystem with the surrounding walls from 400 to 600 metres in height.
It is famed for its high wildlife density: 🦁 including Lions, Cheetahs, Antelopes, Zebras, Buffaloes, Rhinos & Elephants. 🐘

The volcanic soil also makes Ngorongoro one of the most fertile Wildlife habitats in Africa. ✨
Within it is also Lake Magadi, a soda lake in the southern part of the crater, surrounded by mineral-rich soils and swamps. 🌊
The Crater is also home to a population of rare and endangered Black Rhinos.

Day 7: amboseli
Today we make our way to Amboseli and cross back into Kenya. 🇰🇪 Best known for its stunning views of Mt Kilimanjaro 🏔️ and large herds of Elephants. 🐘

After lunch, we'll go on an Afternoon Game Drive in search of Amboseli's famous large Elephant herds 🐘 and enjoy our few final Game Drives with the breathtaking backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro! 🏔️
Amboseli is home to over 1,500 African Elephants, including some of Africa's largest tusked Elephants. 🐘
⛅️ It's good to keep in mind that depending on the weather and skies, the view of Mt Kilimanjaro can sometimes be obstructed by clouds. 🏔️
The size of the Snow Cap will also vary. ⛰️ During the dry season, the Snow Cap will be smaller but some glaciers still remain. ⛰️
We'll be traveling during August which falls within the ideal Dry Season for fewer clouds and better visibility. 🌅 Early Morning tends to give the clearest views.
Spend a magical last night in Kenya as your 🦁 9D7N Kenya & Tanzania, Great Migration Safari 🌍 Adventure comes full circle!
Day 8: final amboseli game drive & return to nairobi
In the morning we'll have 1 final Sunrise 🌅 Game Drive in Amboseli 🏔️ for the best chance of more beautiful Mt Kilimanjaro views. 🐘

Thereafter we'll return to camp for breakfast and do some final packing. 🧳
We'll then finally begin our drive back to Nairobi for our flight back to Singapore. ✈️
⏰ Total Estimated Drive Time: 3.5 - 4hrs

By 3-4pm, we'll arrive back at ✈️ Nairobi Airport for our Check In for the recommended 6pm Ethiopian Flight back to Singapore. 🇸🇬
Alternatively, take a flight of your choice out of Nairobi at a similar or later timing.
